Scott Weaver is a native Floridian who started his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. After three semesters, he was selected to study for a semester as an associate student at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. Then after completing his bachelor’s degree at the University of South Florida, Scott attended Stetson University College of Law where he graduated first in his law school graduation class.
After law school, Scott joined a New York based international law firm ranked among the Am Law Top 10 law firms, as an associate in its Miami, Florida office. Thereafter, he worked with other large and mid-sized law firms located both in Florida and Georgia. Since 2010, Scott has primarily focused his practice on representing employees in employment and labor disputes.
Understanding the importance of thoroughly understanding human resources practices in representing his employment and labor clients, in 2021, Scott completed his Master of Science in Human Resource Management at Johnson & Wales University with a 4.0 grade point average. Based on his numerous cases representing professionals in the medical industry, Scott completed his Master of Business Administration at the Johns Hopkins University taking courses highlighting the nuances of the medical industry. He is a member of the exclusive and prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Scott’s many years of employment and labor law experience includes litigating employment and labor actions based on violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Florida Civil Rights Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Florida Private Whistleblowers Act.
