Megan M. Frain is an attorney with the firm’s Commercial & Franchise Litigation Practice Group.

Megan obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Tampa, where she was tied for first in her graduating class. She was named to the Dean’s List every semester of her undergraduate career. She then earned her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Rutgers Law School – Camden, where she attended on a full-tuition scholarship. During law school, she served as a Legal Writing Fellow.

Prior to joining Cantrell Schuette, Megan practiced as an associate attorney at one of Florida’s largest law firms, where she defended clients including franchisees operating restaurants and hotels as well as major insurance carriers in personal injury matters.

Outside the office, she enjoys kayaking, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, and spending time with her dog, Indigo.

Representative Matters

  • Represented franchisees of national restaurant and hotel chains in premises liability matters, including inadequate inspection, failure to warn, and unsafe conditions
  • Negotiated favorable resolutions on behalf of franchisee clients in contested civil matters
  • Represented national industrial supply and distribution company in products liability litigation
  • Defended local residential home builder in premises liability litigation, involving construction site safety standards and contractor obligations to third parties
  • Filed complaints for pure bill of discovery on behalf of clients against major national financial institutions
