- We provide comprehensive review and guidance services relating to restrictive covenant agreements (including non-compete agreements, non-solicit agreements, and NDAs), partnership and shareholder agreements, operating agreements, equity agreements, and other agreements involving ownership and compensation.
- We provide dispute resolution services for business, partnership, and employee mobility disputes, including cease-and-desist letters, lawsuits, arbitrations, and injunction hearings.
Our clients range from national and regional companies, C-suite executives, and professionals to entrepreneurs, sales teams, and everyday workers. Our noncompete attorneys and business litigation attorneys have collectively represented over 1,000 clients for matters involving non-competes, partnerships, and shareholders, making us one of the most experienced law firms in the nation for these types of services.
Cantrell Schuette’s Dispute Resolution Philosophy, Fees, and Attorneys
As a firm hallmark, we prepare a detailed strategy upfront, always with an eye towards the client’s final objective and costs. We develop a deep understanding of the facts of each case, the relevant law, the motivations driving each side, and map out a strategy to obtain the desired outcome as efficiently as possible. We don’t believe losing is ever an acceptable outcome. That statement is more than a mere platitude: we judge ourselves by our clients’ outcomes and client reviews (see client reviews here).
The firm’s clients range from Fortune 500 companies and middle-market and high-growth companies to entrepreneurs and individual executives. We have extensive experience across various industries, including insurance, healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, technology, and staffing and recruiting. The matters we are entrusted to handle range from guiding clients through risk mitigation efforts to avoid disputes to handling litigation, trials, and arbitrations.
To financially align our interests with our clients’, we offer a variety of fee arrangements that emphasize risk-sharing and efficiency, although the options vary in each practice group. Some examples of fee arrangements we offer include fixed fees, pure contingency fees, customized hybrid arrangements, and standard hourly billing.
Our team is credentialed, experienced, and has a strong track record of success. Our attorneys hail from the top law schools and/or graduated near the top of their class. Intellect and judgment are of utmost importance in the practice of law. Of course, those attributes are no substitute for hard work. Each of our attorneys is committed to working tirelessly on behalf of our clients as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Cantrell Schuette’s Core Values
Cantrell Schuette has five (5) Core Values:
- Passionate. We each choose to be here because we are passionate about righting wrongs. We are a mission-driven law firm, not mere guns for hire. Our passion for our work is evident in everything we do, from providing compassionate and efficient lead and client intake to excellent legal work production and offering timely, responsive client support.
- Growth-Minded. We are each growth-minded, both on the individual skill set level and on the business level. Our employees seek opportunities to deepen and sharpen their professional skill sets. We welcome constructive feedback. And all of us – not just the attorneys – work hard to improve and grow the firm.
- Problem Solver. We focus on solving problems, not merely laying issues at someone else’s door or inbox. We set aside our egos and encourage healthy dialogue.
- Can-do Attitude. We are enthusiastic about the matters and challenges we are tasked with handling. And while we each have a large degree of specialization in the work we do, we also recognize and embrace that sometimes we will be asked to handle things that are outside of our day-to-day work.
- Results-Oriented. We review, reward, and recognize our people based on objective data and outcomes. To that end, we plan and work hard to each achieve our goals, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.
